Affiliate disclosure
EcoCapeVerde is free to read. Some links on the site are affiliate links: if you book through one, EcoCapeVerde may earn a commission, at no additional cost to you.
In short: the price you pay the booking site is the same whether or not you use our link. A commission, when there is one, is paid by that company to us, not by you.
Which links are affiliate links
- Accommodation links to Booking.com. Hotel and stay links on our guides and in the AI planner’s itineraries include an EcoCapeVerde tracking code.
- Tour and activity links to GetYourGuide. Experience links on our guides and in the planner’s itineraries include an EcoCapeVerde tracking code.
- Travel rewards card links. The American Express and Chase links in the Travel Rewards section are referral links. We may receive a referral bonus or rewards if you apply and are approved. Card offers, benefits, fees and eligibility are set by the card issuer and may change.
How to spot them
Recommendation cards that link to a booking site carry an “Affiliate links” label with a short note and a link back to this page. Affiliate links open the partner’s website in a new tab and are marked as sponsored links for search engines. Links to other EcoCapeVerde pages are never affiliate links.
What a commission does and doesn’t change
Commissions help keep our island guides free. They never affect which places we recommend. Always check the current price, location, cancellation terms and reviews on the booking site before you book. Availability and prices are set by the booking site and the property or tour operator, not by EcoCapeVerde.
Our own paid product
The AI trip planner’s Travel Book (€45) and Personal Concierge (€89) are EcoCapeVerde’s own products, paid for directly through Stripe. They are not affiliate products. The itineraries they produce can include Booking.com and GetYourGuide links with the same tracking codes described above.
